Attitudes about Brain–Computer Interface (BCI) technology among Spanish rehabilitation professionals

Abstract To assess—from a qualitative perspective—the perceptions and attitudes of Spanish rehabilitation professionals (e.g. doctors, speech therapists, physical therapists) about Brain–Computer Interface (BCI) technology. A qualitative, exploratory descriptive study was carried out by means interviews analysis textual content with mixed generation categories segmentation into frequency topics. We present the results three in-depth that were conducted speaking individuals who had previously completed survey as part larger, 3-country/language, on BCI perceptions. 11 15 these respondents (survey) either strongly or somewhat accept use in therapy. However, our show how, due to strong inertia technology, most feel reluctant technology their daily practice (interview).
